Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette | AD

This is a 12 shade palette containing 11 mattes and 1 shimmer. This palette feels like a combination of the original Urban Decay naked basics palette mixed with the Urban Decay Naked 3. The first 4 shades are almost identical in tone to the first basics palette with the addition of two pink and plum toned shades. The bottom row adds warmth with the last few shades giving the option for cool toned looks. As a makeup junkie, I of course needed this palette however an other alternative would be to simply invest in the other naked palettes so you have more colour options.

The pigmentation of this palette as with all Urban Decay shadows are impeccable, I find that there is a slight fall out however this is not an issue for me as I tend to do my eye makeup prior to my base makeup to avoid ruining my foundation. The texture of the shadows are very buttery in consistency making them easy to apply and blend on the lids. I can find matte shadows to be quite dry and patchy however this palette exceeds my expectations and applies perfect with a fluffy blending brush.

Shades

Blow (Light Nude Demi-Matte)
Nude (Soft Pink Nude Matte)
Commando (Light Taupe Brown Matte)
Tempted (Pale Brown Matte)
Instinct (Medium Pink Taupe Matte)
Lethal (Reddish Brown Matte)
Pre-Game (Pale Yellow Matte)
Extra Bitter (Burnt Orange Matte)
Faith (Medium Warm Brown Matte)
Lockout (Rich Neutral Brown Matte)
Magnet (Smoky Gray Matte)
Blackjack (Warm Black Matte)

My favourite shades in this palette have to be Extra Bitter as it is a great warm toned shadow that looks create thrown in the crease and require minimal effort. I also enjoyed using this shadow alongside Faith to add more depth into the crease creating a subtle yet smoke effect.
