Review | MAC Brush Cleanser

Washing brushes is such a tasking and time consuming chore that I have to do every week however I love spot cleaning my brushes in between washes using the MAC Brush Cleanser. This product is amazing for cleaning eyeshadow blending brushes quickly for when you need to switch shades. There are two ways to use this brush cleanser, firstly for spot cleaning or deep cleansing. I personally only use this product for spot cleansing and I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo for deep cleansing.

For deep cleansing using this product, you simply dampen your makeup brushes and then run this product through it and then rinse it out. For spot cleansing, I like to use a thick cloth, in particular the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm Cloth because it is extremely soft. I apply the liquid to the cloth and then rub the brush in circular motions which gets rid of the powdered products. After that they are ready to use again.

The product costs £12.50 from MAC and there is 235ml of product. I think this product is worth the money because it saves a lot of time.

  1. This sounds great for spot cleaning - I find myself constantly spot cleaning my eye brushes especially. I actually thought this cost more! xx

  3. This sounds great! I've been trying to decide whether to splurge and buy a dedicated cleaner as opposed to my baby shampoo! Thanks for the share!

  4. I've been using Dr. Bronner's and sort of washing my brushes as I use them, but I really do need something to clean them quickly for repeated use. Thank you for the review!

  5. I used to love this Mac Brush Cleaner because of how fast drying it was. I have the Cinema Secret's brush cleaner in my kit now. I definitely need to go and get myself another bottle of this... Thanks for reminding me :)

  11. This sounds so bad but I've only just started cleaning my makeup brushes hahaha, I just picked up a cheapish one from Boots! This one sounds good, I'd expect nothing less from MAC, I've heard so many good reviews about that brand! xxx
