Makeup Geek is one of the best, affordable brands for eyeshadows. They are so comparable to MAC but for half the price. Makeup Geek eyeshadows can be bought individually where you also purchase a Z palette and make a custom palette. Each eyeshadow has a magnetic back so that it sticks into the palette. There are different types of eyeshadows that MUG make. I have three different types, the original shadows, the duo-chrome shadows and the foiled shadows. The original shadows are extremely pigmented and retail for £4.95 each. The duo-chrome shadows are lovely also. Duo-chrome shadows have a two-tonal effect dependant on the way the light hits the product. I own two of them, I'm Peachless and Steampunk. The foiled finish shadows have the best pigmentation because they are more oily so the colour pay off is very intense. I have Flame Thrower, Grandstand, Highwire and Starry Eyed. Apologies for the awful swatches but winter lighting is just horrendous.

The top row of my Z palette is predominantly transition and highlighting shades. My favourite from this row is shimma shimma for highlighting the inner corner, peach smoothie for the crease transition shade and chickadee for adding warmth through the crease.

The second row of my palette are all my brown shades. My favourite shades in this row is starry eyed which is a foiled finish shadow which has amazing pigmentation. Cocoa Bear is a lovely warm chocolate brown which I like to pair with grandstand.

The third row is my burgundy/plum shades. I LOVE bitten. It is such a lovely shade for autumn and winter. It looks lovely with burlesque as a lid shade for a very deep and vampy makeup look.

The final row in my Z palette are my brighter and red shades. I loved using Flame Thrower in December with mango tango. Corrupt is the best matte black eyeshadow that I own, it is amazing for adding depth and darkness to a smoky eye.

I cannot wait to grow my makeup geek collection and feature them in some tutorials. Let me know which your favourite eyeshadows are from MUG?
