THE SPRING EDIT

Hey lovelies, I hope your all having a good week! Today is my first edit on my blog. Since it is warming up here in the UK, I thought it was only right to do my Spring Edit. At this time of year I tend to ditch the heavy duty foundations and grab the light weight, natural based foundations for a more natural complexion. I love BB & CC creams however, if you have been reading my blog for some time now, you will know I am in love with illuminating foundations.

So first, I use my Mac Prep & Prime Fix + Spray this refreshes my face and makes makeup application a lot smoother. I then apply one-two pumps of the notorious Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation. When I am aiming to achieve a more natural and subtle look I tend to blend my foundation with clean hands rather than a beauty blender or buffing brush. I then use my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and then set it with my Ben Nye Banana Powder. I then set the rest of my foundation in place with the Rimmel Translucent Stay Matte Powder.

Nars Laguna Bronzing powder has always been my go to for summer, and I just apply a light dusting of this across my temples and the hollows of my cheeks for light contouring. I then take a little of Sleek Rose Gold blusher on the apples of my cheeks for more of a radiant, natural look. I then take my favourite illuminator, Copacabana by Nars on the high points of my face.

When I am going for a more natural look I tend to avoid heavy and shapely brows. I like to use a light tinted brow gel. I love the Benefit Gimme Brow. To brighten and widen my eyes I like to use either a white or skin toned eyeliner. I use the Rimmel Scandaleyes nude eyeliner. I then like to use my Max Factor Master Piece mascara. I have a full review on the Max Factor Press Releases. You can view this post here.

To moisturise my lips I love to use the Benefit Benetint. This adds such a lovely and natural shine and colour to the lips. If I want more of a glossy finish I always reach for one of my Tanya Burr Lipglosses. My favourite colour, which is featured in the above pictures is, Just Peachy.

Nails

For my nails I have been resisting wearing my most comforting shades of black, white and nude. Recently I have been loving the Rimmel London 60 second nail polishes. I can be such an impatient person, so the fact this is a fast drying nail polish definitely goes in my favour!! I recently got the Lola Barcelona Nail polish in Garcia sent to me. This is such a fun, bright coral red which is brilliant for this time of year.

Perfume

It wouldn't be a spring edit without Marc Jacobs Daisy. This perfume is a great floral and fruity scent which is perfect for the spring and summer months.

Accessories

I have a major obsession with watches. My favourite one at present is a Calvin Klein one. I have it in both black and white however I feel white is more spring appropriate and I also get more use out of the black one in the winter months. I am also obsessed with Pandora rings. My collection is getting out of hand. My favourite ones however are my daisy, heart and birth stone ring.

Let me know what your spring favourites are?

Until next time guys, Kirsty x
