BIRCH BOX

Hey lovelies, for those of you who do not know, Birch Box are a beauty subscription company who send beauty products in a cute little box every month for only £10 plus shipping.

Here is the limited edition Royally Good April Birch Box, I think this box is super cute with the bird pattern. There are two colours of boxes representing the possible gender of the royal baby, I have the blue one and then there is also a pink one. Normally birch box send you 5 products, however this month there are 6!! This month you could get the choice of a Laura Mercier primer, mascara or eyeliner. The beauty bonus was the energise me capsules. So what is included in the box?

First, I got the Laura Mercier eyeliner in violet, I personally only wear brown or black eyeliner so I will be using this eyeliner as a base for a purple smoky eye. The only problem with this is that because it is a great quality eyeliner it dries fast to ensure that the liner wont budge so it may be very difficult to blend, but I will give it  a go and feed back. This product would cost £17.50.

Next was the LOLA Barcelona nail polish in Garcia which I love. I think this colour is spring and summer appropriate and would look gorgeous on your nails for on holiday. I love this colour because I love coral red shades. This product retails for £7.50.

This next product has become the holy grail hair product! The Percy and Reed London smoothed, sealed & sensational volumising no oil oil is AMAZING. This brand is created by the amazing celebrity hairdressers Paul Percival and Adam Reid. This oil tames hair without weighing it down. I use one-two drops of this product and work it into the roots and ends of my hair which adds volume and tames my hair at the same time. This product retails for £14.

The next product is the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash. This product is a double duty cleanser and exfoliator that is legit the best and most fresh smell ever. This two in one job renews the skin with a blend of botanical extracts. This is a quick and easy skin care step that anyone has time for because you simply massage it into the skin and then rinse. This product retails for £19.50.

The next thing I received in my box was the Korres Bergamot Pear Showergel. This showergel is packed with aloe vera which helps to nourish and hydrate the skin. The scent of this reminds me a little of the Jo Malone perfume in English pear and freesia. This product retails for £8.

The final product I received was the Inner Me Energise Me. This is an energy boost blend of vitamins and minerals which contribute to good health. There is a four week supply of tablets. I am interested to start with these tablets to see if it gives me more energy for studying etc. The tablets retail for £10.

Overall, I was really happy and impressed with Birch Box. The total price of the products is £76.50 but through birchbox you can get smaller sizes of these products for just £10 which means you can see which products you love so you know what to repurchase rather than spending £76.50 and finding out you don't like some of the products and then you have wasted your money.

  5. I have a love/hate relationship with getting products outside of my box, like the violet eyeliner. On one hand, it's nice to get something that I normally wouldn't purchase for myself and on the other hand I know I won't use it a lot. But at least Laura Mercier is a really nice brand! And I'm going to look up that holy grail status hair product!

    1. Yeah you are totally right!! I think sometimes you can thoroughly love the products and other times its hit or miss!! But I suppose the good in that is that if it is something you would avoid in the future you at least didn't spend a lot of money on a full sized product:)) Thanks for your comment x

  9. Whoa, your Birchbox looks awesome! I'm especially jealous of your Laura Mercier eyeliner. I've been meaning to try out her products. I've never tried that scent by Korres, but their Jasmine and Guava scents are both really nice!
