TOP 5 - HIGHLIGHTING PRODUCTS

As I said previously in my 'TOP 10: CONTOURING PRODUCTS' post, I would post monthly about my top products of one type of makeup. I recently was asked to do a post on highlighting so that is what I will be posting about today.

1. First up is Benefit Watt's Up highlighter. This is a great product which comes in a stick form which means application is simple and easy. I like to apply this directly to the face and then blend it out with my ring finger. This is a lovely champagne colour which compliments every skin tone. I love how this highlighter is perfect on a day to day basis as it is not too intense looking on the skin!!

2. Next on my must have list had to be Nars albatross. This is a lovely yellow toned gold highlighter! It is extremely pigmented and looks great on the majority of skin tones. I think this looks beautiful in the summer with a tan. I do not however think this looks great on very fair toned skin.

3. Next is an affordable product for anyone who does not want to splash out on the designer brands. The Makeup Revolution radiant highlighters are an amazing dupe for the Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Powders. There are three shades in this collection which are great for highlighting and powdering the face. The only comparable difference between the Hour Glass and the Makeup Revolution is that the highlighters in the Makeup Revolution collection are not as finely milled so do not work well as an all over powder.

4. Surprise, surprise its another nars product! Copacabana is an amazing fluid highlighter. I love using this in a variety of ways. This is great for adding a little shimmer and glow to the cheeks without looking greasy. I love how this adds a dewy finish to my skin when it is looking very lack lustre. Another way that I like to use this product is by adding a pea sized amount into my foundation to lift my skin and make it appear more healthy and radiant.

5. Finally, is the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick. This comes in a variety of colours. It is a great highlighter because you can use each shade individually or you can swirl all the colours together for a beautiful multi-toned shade. I love using this when I am short of time. Revlon do a great dupe of this product which I shall link below.

NARS ALBATROSS £23
NARS COPACABANA £23
BENEFIT WATSS UP £24.50
BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK £32.50
MAKEUP REV PALETTE £8
REVLON 'SHIMMER BRICK' DUPE £8.99
AMBIENT LIGHTING PALETTE £56

I hope this post was beneficial to you all, until next time X
