Today I've gone for a casual, effortless 'throw on' look. I tend to wear black, so it is no surprise here that three out of four of the pieces of this look contain black.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas! X

Finally it is the end of exams!! After a stressful month myself and the girls are getting together tonight to celebrate so I thought I would do a GRWM.

First things first using a moisturiser is essential, especially at this time of the year! I'm using my favourite garnier moisture match moisturiser! This is designed for combination to oily skin!

After that has sunk in I will apply my foundation. I love using MAC studio sculpt in NW20, this is an ideal foundation to use as it is full coverage which is perfect for a long night. Following this I will use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 01 light which is perfect as a highlight or to cover under eye circles. I then use the Benefit Erase Paste in the shade 01 light to cover any blemishes and mask any discolouration to the face. Following this I will set my makeup in place with my favourite powder from Rimmel. The Stay Matte powder is perfect for keeping your foundation looking mattified and oil free!

Next I will move on to bronzer which is one of my favourite stages. I think contouring sculpts and defines your face perfectly! I start off using a bronzing primer from bourjois, which is a dupe for Chanel solei de tan! I then use MAC PURE SCULPTURE, pro sculpting cream to contour and then followed with the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade 02 medium to bronze my temples.

I then apply highlighter and blusher. I love this pearlescent coloured highlighter which looks amazing on top of the cheek bones from MUA which is called Undress your skin in iridescent gold. Then I apply a small amount of the Maybelline dream touch blush in the shade 02 which is a peachy pink colour which gives a lovely flushed look to the cheeks!

I then move onto brows! This is such a crucial step in my opinion as eyebrows really frame your face! I use the Benefit Browzings in the shade dark!

Moving onto eyes, I am using the EstΓ©e Lauder Deluxe Pure Colour Eyeshadow! I use the second shade on the top row (10 ivory box) all over my lid and then I use the first shade on the top row (60 tea biscuit) through the crease as a transitional colour, and then I use the second last shade in the bottom row (23 berry ice) for the outer V of my eyes! I then apply a thin line of my miss sporty liquid eyeliner followed by 3 coats of my love alpha fibre lash mascara!

Finally the last step is I applied Burts Bees lip balm to nourish and moisturise my lips and then I applied MAC angel lipstick!

I then straightened my hair with my GHD limited edition Wonderland straighteners!

I decided to go for a light, fruity fragrance and so went for one of my favourite which is the Dolce and Gabbana 3 L'IMPΓ‰RATRICE!

I hope you guys are having a good night!

As a self proclaimed body shop lover, I enjoy trying out all their beauty and skin products but I have to admit, I am late on the band wagon with this bronzer.

The packaging of this bronzer is sleek, compact and also contains a mirror which means it's ideal for in your handbag. I, personally am not into shimmery or glittery bronzers so the fact this one is matte makes it a winner for me.

It is also perfect for all skin tones due to the fact there are four different shades, ranging from light, fair, medium and dark.
I have fairly light skin but I tend to use darker bronzers as I usually have fake tan on. I use shade 03 medium, but if you have fair to light skin and don't tan regularly, to maximise your use of this bronzer, I would recommend going for shade 01 or 02 which are the lightest shades.

I love nars laguna, mac bronzing powder and the sleek contour kit but right now I am obsessed with this product and I think that this will be my staple, go to contour shade in 2015.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend preparing for Christmas!

I, like many, love trying new products! And when I seen a review and demonstration of this mascara, I HAD to buy this mascara set. This mascara basically gives you the longest lashes ever through the use of a mascara. Personally, I love the look of fake eyelashes but it takes time and effort applying them so this mascara basically gives you the look of false eyelashes but it takes no time at all!

Okay, so let's cut to the chase. What's love alpha mascara all about?

This is a two piece set. It includes the first step, the transplanting gel. This gel is basically a black mascara that allows fibres to be attached to your eyelashes which enhances your lashes for the second step. The second step involves applying the natural fibres. This adds volume and length by applying natural fibres to your lashes, giving the appearance of longer, fuller looking eyelashes.

Pictured below is the transplanting gel. As you can see it's a basic mascara however it is necessary to ensure the fibres stick to it. The formulae is not thick or clumpy. It's thin but provides the necessary thickness to give you enough to allow the fibres to stick to the transplanting gel.

Pictured above, is the natural fibres! Unfortunately, the amount of fibres that are actually on the brush is not clear! But basically these fibres are applied on top of the transplanting gel.

The packaging is so cute as well.

Results shown below.

What is even better about this set is the price. I am aware you can get this from many different places however I got mines from eBay for £4.89 including second class postage!

Why splash the cash?

I myself, love high end makeup, whether it be MAC, NARS, Estee Lauder, YSL, or Chanel, the quality, the packaging and of course the price is of a high quality and expense. Whilst I don't mind spending money on high end brands, I love looking through the drugstore for dupes and simple everyday go to products.

Again and again I find myself repurchasing Rimmel London's Wake Me Up foundation. This foundation gives a dewy, light glow which illuminates the complexion. Since this foundation contains SPF 15 this means its an ideal foundation for the coming summer period. Rimmel London make a big statement claiming the foundation possesses anti fatigue effect agents which provides the skin with a radiant glow. Furthermore, this foundation contains peptides and a vitamin, moisturising formulae and I completely agree with their claim, it hydrates my skin and really does 'Wake Me Up'. This foundation looks very natural on the skin and is extremely buildable if you want a fuller, flawless coverage. I have oily to combination skin and this foundation has really suited me, however I think this foundation is suitable for the majority of skin types. This foundation retails for £8.99.

Revlon PhotoReady has similarities to the 'Wake Me Up' foundation. This foundation is also very natural and dewy looking when applied to the skin. I feel this foundation is a lighter coverage however but it is buildable. Additionally, this foundation has SPF 20 so is perfect for summer. This foundation is ideal for people with oilier skin as it is oil free, however it may be suitable for drier skin. The formulae is quite a runny liquid with very small sparkles in the solution giving the skin that extra radiance. This is my go to foundation and I constantly reach for it every morning. Revlon PhotoReady retails for £12.99.
My colours:
  •  Rimmel London Wake Me Up - 103 True Ivory
  • Revlon PhotoReady - 002 Vanilla

Following on for my love for the Wake Me Up Collection, I am obsessed with the Wake Me Up Concealer by Rimmel London. Again, Rimmel claim that it has anti-fatigue effect agents which provides a radiant glow. This concealer is perfect at brightening and illuminating which visibly reawakens the under eyes. It conceals spots and blemishes relatively well. Retailing at only £5.49 its the perfect drugstore alternative to MAC prolong wear concealer. It is undoubtedly amazing for brightening under the eye making you appear more awake but my absolute beauty favourite for concealer has to be the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This is literally a lifesaver. Say goodbye to the dark, puffy under eye circles we all hate. What's more, is that it conceals spots and blemishes amazingly. This is by far the best drugstore concealer and I think I'm onto my sixth or seventh bottle now. What's even better is the fact that it retails for only £4.19.

One of my all time favourite drugstore brands is sleek, the pigmentation of their blushes and bronzers are crazy for the price they charge. Sleek have a face form kit which includes a bronzer, highlighter and blush for £9.99, and (I'm making a bold statement) it compares similarly to NARS Laguna. Sleek makeup is always well packaged with compact mirrors making them the perfect handbag essentials. I love the Sleek contour kit (shown left) which includes a highlighter and a bronzer. I have used this almost everyday for 7 months and I still haven't hit pan. This bronzer is matte but it does have very slight shimmery tones to it. The highlighter in this kit is amazing on the cheekbone or on the brow bone also. This product retails for £6.49.

Alternatively, my other favourite bronzer is the 'Chocolate Bronzer' as I would call it. Bourjois have so many amazing bronzing product ranges from; a BB bronzer, bronzer primer (Chanel universal bronzer dupe) and powders. I currently love the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing powder, which every beauty guru seems to rave about. The bronzer has a chocolate fragrance which I love. Similarly, to the Sleek Contour Kit it is matte however it has very faint shimmery tones running through it. This product retails for £7.99.

My colours:

  • Sleek Face Contour Kit - 884 Light
  • Bourjois Paris Delice de Poudre Powder - Medium 51

There is a reoccurring theme here, yet again, Sleek and Bourjois continue to impress me. The pigmentation of sleek blushers are phenomenal. Featured in the picture is Sleek 'Lifes A Peach' which is a peachy, coral pink toned blush which is perfect for the summer season. I also love Sleek 'Pixie Pink' which is another summery colour, which has a bright, floral pink tone to it. 'Rose Gold' is a brilliant everyday, go to blusher which complements any look. Its very similar to NARS 'orgasm' but Sleek charges over £15 less. Sleek Blushers retail for a mere £4.50.

The Bourjois little round pot blushers are amazing. I recently purchased one in Superdrug which was limited edition with floral packaging. The one featured is Rose D'Or - 34. Which is a pink blush with shimmery gold undertones. Due to the name of this blush it has a soft, rose fragrance. This blush retails for £7.99.

  • Sleek Blusher - Pixie Pink
  • Sleek Blusher - Rose Gold

This is a simple, cheap, essential everyday product which I have hit pan on. I continually repurchase this product. Rimmel Stay Matte powder does what it says on the tin, it keeps my skin matte and oil free all day long. This product retails for £3.99. I have this in the colour transparent as I use this product simply for setting my foundation and concealer rather than adding colour and coverage to my skin.

                                                                                             Eye shadow/Eye bases

Recently, I have been loving the 'lazy' wash of colour on the eye look which is simple and quick for those mornings when your running late. The Maybelline Colour 24 hour Tattoos are amazing, I love using them as a base for my eye shadow to sit on or simply for a wash of colour on the lid and blending it out using a fluffy, blending brush. My two favourites right now, are Pink Gold and Permanent Taupe.

This is a simple, must have in your makeup collection. Miss Sporty Studio Lash Eyeliner makes eyeliner easy for anyone who is less experienced in makeup. This is an extremely cheap liquid eyeliner which is sold in Superdrug. The brush is very thin so it is perfect for winged eyeliner and getting near the tear duct area.

I love both Rimmel Scandaleyes and Max Factor False Lash Effect purely for the same reason that it gives me fuller, longer looking lashes.

The Rimmel Kate Moss collection is amazing in every way, from the range of colours, to the application, to the fragrance and the packaging. My favourite colours are 107 which is a deep purple/red colour, which is more suited to the winter, autumn seasons, 05 which is ideal for the summer period and 22 which Is a vibrant red which is so versatile and suits any occasion.
